Week 3

have been spending most of this week preparing for the pitch presentations on the 30th. These means a lot of time spent in PowerPoint, figuring out how to put my thoughts into words. Honestly this is the most frustrating part of any project for me. I always struggle to put my thoughts into words, sometimes the frustration with it makes me want to cry (well not really, but that’s the closest I can think of to explain it). It’s basically I know what my thoughts are, but I can’t always communicate it, and I’ve encountered a few to many people in my life who insist that if I can’t put something into words than I know nothing about it.

I have also revised my layout to have accurate proportions for the room sizes. Looking up the average size of a band room sources say that it should be 2500 sq ft (or 50 ft by 50 ft), which sounded too large to me. Thank you to Eric Hunn for helping me visualize it in a real space to feel more confident on it being the correct sizing.

I have also finally got a rough draft of a couple textures (a wood chair and a metal music stand) into unreal editor. I do enjoy hand painting over the realistic control I used, however I have noted that I need to add more contrast into my textures so help them look less flat.
