We Are Back

Winter break is over. It was nice to see friends and family, and get being sick out of the way then rather than now. While I wish I could have done more I did get some stuff done over the break. I tried a new way to tile the floor texture as I didn’t like the way it was tiling before, but it feels too mechanical. (picture shows both new (right) and old (left) floor textures). I created a first go at a music folder that will be placed throughout the scene, a backpack, and the conductor’s baton. I also have a new ceiling texture which I like.
This week I started working on instruments, specifically the drum/percussion section. So far, I have a piano (yes pianos are a part of the percussion section), snare and bass drums, cymbals, a tambourine, and a cow bell.
I have also created a list of goals by week for the rest of the project (as listed below). For each section I have ordered them by most expected time first and least expected time last. I have also tried to balance each week to be about the same amount of predicted time needed to complete.
1/28:
Model and UV unwrap: Piano, Snare drum, Bass drum, Tambourine, Cymbals, Cow bell.
Lighten the purple on the room signs, add number.
New folder texture.
Add inside to clarinet bell.
2/4:
Model and UV unwrap: Xylophone, Bells, Timpani, Trumpet, Flute, triangle. Water bucket
Wet floor paper
New exit sign texture.
Drum sticks (for both snare and timpani)
Lighten black on band chair texture.
Thin the model of baton.
2/11:
